Moving over
Migrate from CurseForge
Tinker reads the same AddOns folder as the CurseForge app, so your addons come along on their own. There is nothing to export.
Install and open Tinker
Tinker finds World of Warcraft in the usual places. If it can't, choose the
World of Warcraftfolder, or one client folder such as_retail_.Let the first scan finish
Tinker fingerprints every folder in
Interface/AddOnsand asks CurseForge which addon and file each one came from. Your addons appear in My Addons with their versions.Look at “Not from CurseForge”
Folders Tinker can't match, such as your own addons or ones from other sites, are listed at the bottom and left alone.
Optional: keep your CurseForge sync group
Sign in, then open Settings → CurseForge account and link each client. Your changes then also reach the official app on your other computers.
You can keep the CurseForge app. Both apps work on the same folder. Tinker takes over CurseForge's install links, so the Install button on curseforge.com opens Tinker.
What comes along
| From the CurseForge app | In Tinker |
|---|---|
| Installed addons | Yes · matched by fingerprint |
| Release, Beta or Alpha files | Yes · each addon keeps the channel of the file you have |
| Required libraries | Yes · kept, and cleaned up with the addons that need them |
| CurseForge sync groups | Yes · after you sign in and link a client |
When you're done
To remove the CurseForge app, uninstall it as you would any app. Your addons stay in your AddOns folder, and Tinker keeps managing them.
